The very first jingle written and produced by Banner Kidd, in 1989, was through a radio station. It was used to secure a long term commitment from the client. Since then the greater part of the work of Broadcast my Brand has been with Radio and TV stations around the country, along with our work with established advertising agencies. We function as the creative arm of the production department of radio stations, supplying creative ideas for branding that are able to be used in every aspect of a client’s advertising efforts, from broadcast to web and to print. Our team is in process for a jingle for the Clinton County, Indiana trustee. This is the first time we’ve written a jingle for a trustee’s office. Very excited about it. It’s another example that any service or any product can benefit from powerful branding music.

Also working on a jingle for Reed Auto in Kansas City. This is the second jingle project for Reed, through my good friend Kevin Koster, of Skopos Ad Agency.

We are finishing up a jingle for Young Electric in Portland, Oregon, through Dean Gustafsen at KPTV. Dean is a great TV ad exec who recognizes the power for musical branding and brings this great tool to his clientele.

CaptainsMarineThe slogan we used for them is, “You can have lots of fun on a boat in the sun, from Captain’s Marine.” Done is a Jimmy Buffet kind of vibe that is so popular with boaters from around the country, this jingle/musical logo will powerfully build the Captain’s Marine brand, bringing top of mind awareness, and positive emotional thoughts about the brand to those who hear it on the air, both radio and TV. Remember, studies show that when you incorporate a jingle with your ad the effectiveness of the jingle becomes 100%!

“Education learning theory teaches that you can increase the percentage retained of what you see, hear and feel if the right combination of tools is used in the learning process. If the information is only words, about 10 percent will be remembered. Put the words in a story and retention increases to 40 percent. Add some kind of visual symbol and it increases to 60 percent. When these three are connected to some rhythmic pattern the retention increases to 90 percent. Advertising commercials have used this combination by using rhythmic jingles to combine words, stories and visual symbols. When music is incorporated the percentage of retention increases to 100 percent. The length of time that it will stay has yet to be determined. The Broadcast My Brand Team is excited to be working with ABC 29 & 8, in Traverse City, MI. Up North is the brand of 29 & 8, and Broadcast My Brand is creating a great image song to be used for community minded features.
